A top hoopster says he’ll visit Texas

Isaiah Armwood, a forward who is ranked No. 23 nationally in the basketball class of 2009 by Rivals.com, plans to make an unofficial visit to the University of Texas in June.

The 6-foot-7, 185-pound Armwood favors Texas, Syracuse and Villanova right now, according to Rivals.

Armwood plays at Montrose Christian School in Rockville, Md., the school former Longhorn Kevin Durant attended as a senior.

Texas is well-positioned with elite players in the class of 2009 after striking out with some top players in 2008.
