Horford and Durant earn NBA rookie honors
Al Horford of the Atlanta Hawks and Kevin Durant of the Seattle SuperSonics have been chosen as the NBA's top rookies for November.
Horford, who nabbed Eastern Conference honors, averaged 8.7 points and 10.2 rebounds, leading all rookies in that category. He posted eight double-digit rebound games and four double-digit scoring games for the month, while finishing with a double-double (13 points, 13 rebounds) in a 117-109 win against Charlotte on November 14.
Kevin Durant is tops among all rookie qualifiers in the Western Conference, averaging 20.4 points per game. He is also fifth in rebounding with 4.4, and first in assists with 2.1. Kevin Durant hit a career mark in two categories on November 30, finishing with 35 points and three blocks in a 95-93 win over the Pacers.
Other nominees were Houston's Luis Scola, Milwaukee's Yi Jianlian, New Jersey's Sean Williams, Toronto's Jamario Moon and Washington's Nick Young.
