Cougs, Dawgs land on All-Pac-10 team
WALNUT CREEK, Calif. — Two Washington State men’s basketball players and a Washington Husky were named to the All-Pac-10 Conference team on Monday, and the Cougars’ Tony Bennett was named the conference’s coach of the year.
Washington State’s Kyle Weaver and Derrick Low were named to the All-Pac-10 team along with the Huskies’ Jon Brockman.
Washington’s Spencer Hawes was named to the all-freshman team as well as all-conference honorable mention. Washington’s Quincy Pondexter earned an all-freshman honorable mention.
Aarron Afflalo, UCLA’s 6-foot-5 junior guard, was named the the Pac-10 Player of the Year, and Chase Budinger, Arizona’s 6-7 forward, was honored as the Freshman of the Year.
