Phoenix Suns' Arena Selected to Host 2009 NBA All Star Game
The Phoenix Suns' home arena was
selected to host the 2009 National Basketball Association All-
Star Game.
The US Airways Center will stage the All-Star Game on Feb.
15, with events like the Rookie Challenge and Slam Dunk Contest
scheduled for the two days before, the league said in a
statement.
Phoenix hosted the NBA All-Star Game in 1975 and 1995, with the
East team winning the first matchup and the West taking the
second.
This year's game will be played in New Orleans on Feb. 17.
